Leadership Camp

  Leadership Camp 2009 was held in the month of October 9-11 at St. Xavier’s Villa, Khandala.  The theme of the camp ‘Challenges of Leadership in the 21st Century’ enriched and encouraged students. Seventy campers participated under the guidance of Pr. B. Renthlei, the Camp Director.
   
 

General Camp

  Mr. Y. Simon, the General Camp Director organized the General Camp in December 17-20, 2009 at Hotel Blue Park, Mahabaleshwar. The theme chosen was ‘Scaling New Heights with Jesus Christ’.  One hundred-twenty students participated in this camp. The students enjoyed various activities of the came and returned to the college with fond memories.
 
 
   
 

Love Feast

  It was on December 30, 2009 Spicer Memorial College visited Mukthi Mission in Pune.  The President of the college, Dr. Justus Devadas initiated this programme.  During this festive season a number of faculty, staff, and students proceeded toward Mukthi Mission with gifts for the needy. New sweaters and old clothes were distributed among the 300 needy orphan children. Community feast was part of the gift for all the inmates and visitors.
 
 
   
 

Week of Prayer

  Pastor Franklin David, a senior pastor of the Southern Asia church in Maryland, Washington D.C., conducted the Religious Emphasis Week in the House of Prayer from  January 11-16, 2010.  Many believers surrendered their hearts to Jesus Christ during this spiritual week.
 
   
 

Inter-denominational Prayer Meeting

  On January 28, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. the Prabhu Yesu Janmostav (PYJ) organized an International-denominational prayer meeting at the House of Prayer.  Bishop Vijay Sathe of CNI and Bishop Dabre of Roman Catholic Church, and fourty other pastors of various churches from Pune were present.  The main aim was to unite the Christian churches in Pune and built a good relationship between the Christian minority groups in the city.
   
 

International Food Fair

  International Food Fair 2009 was held on the main lawn on December 13, 2009 in aid of Mukthi Mission orphanage children. Thirteen-language prayer groups and number of college departments, church, and others participated in this event and made it success.
 
   
  Peace March
  The Faculty, staff and students of Spicer College paid tribute by lighting candles for those who lost their lives and many wounded by a terror attack in Pune city. The Christian community in Pune organized a Peace March.  The citizens of Pune marched the peace rally to express sympathy and condolences for those who were affected, and also to express our solidarity with the peace loving people. The procession began from Don Bosco Academy at Koregaon Park on February 22, 2010. We all joined in witnessing to the world that the peace which Jesus Christ offered is the answer for all our problems.
